Apply for YouthBuild

We screen applicants based on their eligibility for our program and their motivation to complete our programs. Please find more information about our programs by clicking on the programs link. Interested individuals can complete the Quad YouthBuild Interest Form. After completing the interest form, a member of the Quad YouthBuild staff will contact you regarding the next step.

We are currently taking applications for the February 2024 enrollment. Applications are due no later than January 24, 2024!

The application process at Quad YouthBuild has several steps:

Step 1: Complete an enrollment packet. The application is the first step for ALL applicants.

Use the link below to download an enrollment packet. The packet and eligibility documents can either be emailed to youthbuild@quadyouth.org, faxed to (225) 567-2095, or brought to the Quad YouthBuild office in person. If assistance is completing the application, a QYB program staff will be more than willing to assist.

All required eligibility documentation listed in the enrollment packet must be returned before orientation. Failure to submit the required documentation will void the application.

Step 2: Sign up for the Remind App. Instructions for signing up can be found both in the enrollment packet and on the website. All communication from the program regarding testing and enrollment will be sent through the Remind App.

Step 3: Complete an educational assessment. Upon return of the enrollment packet, the applicant will be scheduled to take an educational assessment in order for the program to determine HiSET (GED) readiness. This test will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete, so arrangements will need to be made beforehand. It is important that the applicant DOES THEIR BEST on this test. Applicants can sign up for a testing session here. When the applicant clicks the link, he or she will be able to choose a date and time that best works for their schedule.

Step 4: Attend an interview with the QYB staff. This is so we can find out more about the applicant, tell the applicant more about the program, answer any questions, and help the applicant prepare for QYB and for the final step of the application, Mental Toughness Training.

Step 5: All applicants who complete steps 1 – 4 will be invited to Mental Toughness Orientation (MTO). You must attend all days of Mental Toughness Orientation before you will be eligible to be enrolled in QYB. QYB will make a final selection of participants invited to join the program after Mental Toughness.
